ML is an independent, non-commercial arts project that runs a forum and multiple service sites offering extra features and tools for indie web-crafters.

ML only collects what is needed to run the site and provide services.

===== Where is Data Stored =====
The majority of data is hosted in the ML server located in Ireland and provided by the Blacknight hosting company who are also Irish owned. Our Minecraft server is located in Quebec, Canada and provided by PebbleHost & OVH.

===== How MelonLand Uses Your Data =====
Your data is used to:

  * Keep the site operational.
  * Enable interaction with other members.
  * Maintain security and prevent spam.
  * ML does not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties. No ads, no trackers.

No matter where you are in the world, you have these rights:

  * **Access:** Request a copy of your data.
  * **Correction:** Update incorrect data.
  * **Deletion:** Request account deletion, though some data (like forum posts) may be retained to preserve discussions.

===== Account Deletion & Data Retention =====
If you delete your account:

  * Personal details will be removed.
  * Public posts or contributions may remain but will be anonymised within 6 months.
  * Some data may be kept in logs or databases - either because of needed functionality or because of error.

ML takes reasonable measures to protect your data, but no system is perfect. Use a strong password and practice online safety.
