   - Linux is a separate OS, so you'll need at least 10-30GB free on your Hard Disk to install it, linux will ask how much space it should take and you should give it as much as you can spare without using up all your computer storage! If you can add a second SSD/Hard Disk to your computer for Linux thats a good idea!
